  1. Chrome's FLEDGE API testing to start soon on AdSense

    July 29, 2022

    AdSense will begin initial testing for FLEDGE API integration without rendering any ads, on a small percentage of traffic on or after August 28, 2022. There is no publisher revenue or performance impact expected and no change on how publisher controls apply for now. We’ll be sharing more information before AdSense starts rendering ads via FLEDGE. If you would like to turn off access to FLEDGE on your sites, you can do so via Chrome’s permission-policy header.   2. Chrome's Topics API public origin trial to start soon on AdSense

    June 1, 2022

    From July 1, 2022, AdSense will start initial testing of Topics globally on ad requests for a small percentage of traffic. This initial test is to validate that our systems are operating as designed, and no revenue or performance impact is expected. If you prefer to opt out of Topics testing, you can do so using Chrome's Permissions-policy header.

  3. Updates to search style ad extensions

    Starting June 23, we're changing how some ad extension settings work for search styles for AdSense for Search. Specifically, we're making the following changes to “Extension settings” for search ads: The "Advertiser images" extension will be renamed to "Visual formats". The "Media links" extension will be removed.     To make it easier to determine what to fix when you have a policy issue, we're introducing screenshots to the Policy center. Screenshots highlight examples of policy issues found on your pages and can help you to identify and understand these issues. Currently only some policy issues are eligible for screenshots. We'll be adding screenshots for more policy issues over the coming months as we roll out this change.   6. Making the user-based ads control available to Authorized Buyers

    Starting May 6, 2022, the user-based ads control in AdSense will be updated to also apply to ads from Authorized Buyers. Previously this control only applied to ads from Google Ads and Display & Video 360. Benefits to publishers Expanding user-based ads to include Authorized Buyers gives you more control over the sharing and use of your users' visitation information.   7. Reminder: The new AdSense code is available

    Last year, we launched a new version of the AdSense code. We'd like to take this opportunity to remind you that you're welcome to update your ad code if you want to take advantage of the new optimization features. The new ad code is available when you sign in to AdSense and get code from your account and works for both Auto ads and ad units. Do I have to replace my old ad code with the new ad code?     Based on feedback from publishers with AMP sites, we’ve updated Auto ads for AMP to support anchor ads. If you'd prefer not to show this format on your AMP site, you can turn this option off using the controls on your "Auto ads for AMP" page. Learn how to set up Auto ads on your AMP site.
